I went to Hack Your Health (Keto Con) in Austin, Texas. I just got back last Monday night (June 3, 2024). It was incredible experience where I got to meet my fans, make new friends and meet some of my YouTube heroes in the Carnivore community. There were some great presentations and I learned a great deal. I signed up for the replay videos. They will be available for viewing in about a month. Once they come out I will be making extensive updates to this website. I started an 8 week fasting program. I will fast once a week beginning with a 72 hour water fast, I will do two more 72 hour water fast$beginning on Mondays. After the third water fast I will switch to dry fasting of 24 hours duration for the remaining 5 weeks. There are proven scientific reasons for doing this for health, to break my insulin resistance and to restart my weight loss. My morning weigh in has me down 4.2 pounds in the first day. Hunger pangs are noticeable but not terrible.
After starting cycle 2 of 72 hour water fasting I had a major flare of pain in my left foot and lower back. I have paused doing weekly 72 hour fasting in favour of once a month. I don't know for sure that the pain flare was caused by the fast, but since I also switched back to OMAD at the same time, I want to error on the side of caution. So from now on my longer fasts will be done monthly, not weekly.
